Kara Benninghofen

Kara joined West Creek Conservancy in 2022 as Stewardship & Outreach Coordinator and brings to the team a dedication to Northeast Ohio’s natural spaces and waterways. She earned her B.S. in Biology from Bowling Green State University. In addition to her work with West Creek Conservancy, Kara is the Floating Wetland Specialist for Cleveland Metroparks where she is also a Certified Watershed Steward. Kara has a genuine desire to support local community initiatives and sits on the board of the Rocky River Watershed Council. Her responsibilities include managing the West Creek Conservancy’s green infrastructure and restoring native habitats and local streams. Additionally, she coordinates volunteers in projects to improve stormwater management and the overall health of our watersheds.
