Chris Owen

I am an Associate with the Mannik & Smith Group, Inc. in Shaker Heights, Ohio.  Growing up in Youngstown, Ohio, I developed an appreciation for the local neighborhood parks and the benefits of an urban park system and greenway network like Mill Creek Park. My wife and I live in Macedonia with our two teenage kids. When we are not on the hockey ice or the softball diamond, our family likes to take advantage of the many recreational resources and greenspaces that the Metroparks and Cuyahoga Valley National Park offer here in the Greater Cleveland and Akron area. Working as an environmental/transportation planner on various trail, greenway and enhancement projects, I have seen how these projects have benefitted and enriched these communities. I joined the board as West Creek is helping fill that need for community based organizations that develop and support collaborative efforts to sustain these efforts.
