Irvin E. Hazel
Years before I started school, a backyard woods with a ravine leading down and around to a steadily flowing creek became my boyhood playground—and classroom. With genes that had filtered down through countless generations of native hunter-gatherer ancestors, I quite comfortably explored that common home I shared with hundreds of amazing woodland creatures. And although I left my woodland home many years ago, it has never left me. Now West Creek Conservancy enables me, and you, to leave behind similar woodland playgrounds and classrooms for those young generations that will follow us.
